Self-assured, persuasive, prideful, well-read, charismatic, and diplomatic, Alphinaud takes pride in his many accomplishments, and on occasion, becomes a bit too comfortable in said pride. Compared to his sister, Alphinaud is more level-headed and can quickly get over the shock of unexpected events and reformulate his strategies.Alphinaud is not invulnerable to negative feelings, as he regrets his mistakes and overconfidence. Often, he puts his foot in his mouth or so to speak, an unfortunate skill he picked up from his mother. While at first, Alphinaud tends to treat those he meets as nothing more than battle pawns and man-servants, he learns his lesson after the near loss of his companions during the bloody banquet, treating each companion as people of the same station after the fact.Though good-natured and welcoming to those he considers companions, Alphinaud can hold a grudge if someone betrays his trust for selfish desires or harms his friends.

A woman of action whose dynamic approach is in stark contrast to that of her more diplomatic twin brother, Alphinaud. Inspired by those she has lost in her many travails, she strives to better herself for the sake of those she can yet save. Fiery, passionate, and loyal to a fault, she is the first person to jump into danger on behalf of protecting those she holds most dear.Alisaie is a deeply compassionate individual; while at first, she is so stuck in her grief she refuses to believe the goodwill of the eorzean continent, she comes to terms with her grief after the binding coils of bahamut reveals the truth of the calamity's end before her very eyes. This kickstarts her journey of self-growth and solidifies her resolve in preventing the loss of those she holds most dear-- through any means necessary. She will not forsake her friends!Alisaie is quite sharp tongued and a bit sassy, and not completely above teasing her twin brother. Dry wit and sensible rationality entwined together, Alisaie always has something relatable to say, and though her self esteem fluctuates greatly due to comparing herself to the warrior of light, she is a stalwart and powerful asset to the team despite these misgivings.

Before receiving a traumatic brain injury afflicting her at the age of 5 summers, Pleione was quiet, introspective, peaceful and shy. Upon waking from a comatose state, however, her personality flipped into almost a complete mockery of her original self; now optimistic, excitable, energetic, whimsical, and uncontrollably enthusiastic about life and the world around her, Pleione still retains her loving and caring nature.Pleione, with her zest for life and daydreams outnumbering the stars in the sky, has trouble sticking to one goal. She consistently switches from topic to topic, goal to goal, forgetting her previous hopes and dreams in favor of her new ones. Pleione has issues retaining short term memories, remembering faces, lessons, and facts unless they are repeated over long periods of time (Anterograde Amnesia). She is deaf in the ear above her head injury, and has problems with balance and recurring dizziness. This, however, does not stop her from following her dreams with endless enthusiasm and boundless energy!She enjoys cooking, reading fortunes, hearing stories, talking to strangers, daydreaming, stargazing, and singing. Insults roll right off of her, as she always assumes the best of her bullies, eventually befriending them in the end more often than not.

A carefree, outgoing and excitable individual, Noxis is always the life of the party and simultaneously the butt of the joke-- and he is happy to be both. Warm, positive, friendly, and flirtatious, one thing Noxis never falls short on is making friends and endearing himself to those around him. While on the surface Noxis is an individual possessing great charisma, comedy, and positivity, it does not mean that he is without his own flaws, hurts, and grievances.Due to regret over the loss of many of his loved ones over the years, Noxis' heart has hardened over the time; not only has he fallen into a drinking addiction, but he also tends to make himself the butt of many jokes since he feels he deserves this ridicule. He admired the bravery of those around him now passed, and cannot overcome his cowardice in the face of foes and the potentiality of death. A loyal companion who wishes to protect, but one that can never prevent the loss of those he holds most dear to his tendency to shirk and flee the scene. Over time, Noxis learns to cope with grief and overcome his addictions-- and in more recent patches, has even picked up the axe once again in an effort to protect the team once more.While Noxis is a bundle of endless energy, he is also remiss to study and swears off any form of education, finding it boring. Easily bored, quick to change course, and sensitive to the core, Noxis is quick to shrug things off when conversations lead into more sensitive subject matter. When offended or upset, he will also be sulky about it and brood for quite some time.

At his very core, Adhara is best described as a deeply loyal person who wants what’s best for society at large. He looks at hope like a sword to wield against the despair and misery that fate seems to bring at every corner, and will do whatever he can to fight for a better world for the people who have yet to live. This is because he thinks at its core, the world is full of far more kind people than cruel ones: They just lack the courage to raise their voice due to how loud the cruel people can be. He wants to believe in a better world even if he knows he may never be included within it because he never wants anyone to suffer if it can be avoided. An apt metaphor in regards to this mindset is the way that even a beaten and abused dog would not turn on his master if he loves them.As far as his general demeanor goes, he is best described as somewhat spacey but polite: he has excellent manners and is relatively inoffensive in regards to the things he says. Yet at the same time, he remains a bit unapproachable on account of just how tightly he controls his outward emotions. Even if his companions and associates are more than aware of his willingness to do just about any favor, they seldom can tell how he really feels about what has been asked of him. Among his closest companions, he is a bit more open about the smaller emotions that he thinks are harmless, and can be sarcastic about things he feels are foolish or poorly planned. This is less of a reaction to finding someone stupid and more of an attempt at keeping someone he cares for from doing what he believes might put them in a predicament. If he does genuinely find someone stupid, he is pretty good about keeping such things to himself. It’s usually the big or important things he keeps hidden best, whether that be his development of romantic feelings or the fact that he is pretty aware that if his death came he would not fight against it. To strangers, he tends to blend in until something is done or said that makes him feel the need to make himself known. (usually, this is either a need for help being shown or someone being put in harm’s way)His biggest flaw is his tendency to lie, whether it be over small things or avoiding telling others of the darkest shadows hanging over him. While there are some things he would never lie about, such as his care for his loved ones or his opinions on history, he is pretty entertained by seeing how long he can spin a ridiculous tale before someone catches that it is not true. If it goes on too long, he will inform the other person that it is a lie because he would feel bad about taking advantage of the people who actually can’t tell. The worst of his lies relate to his wellbeing, as getting him to admit he needs help or someone to talk to is harder than pulling the teeth from a rabid coerl. He hates how weak he believes he is, and blames himself for every death that he has failed to prevent as well as the lives he has had to take. This ties back to his childhood, as his aunt told him from a very young age that he was responsible for every bad thing that happened in his vicinity: She convinced him that he himself brought misfortune wherever he went. The only way he could have made up for it was through proving he was worth the air he breathed, and it did not matter how bad or how painful the process was. This mentality clings to him even decades after her departure from his life, and is the root of him hiding his pain and his true feelings from the world. He believes that one day, everyone will leave him: it's just the natural thing to do when faced with a living omen.His strengths as an individual come from his seemingly endless patience, his kindness, and his capacity to keep fighting for what he feels is right even when people have shown him nothing but hostility. He is always willing to lend an ear to those who need it, and will go out of his way to check in on anyone who seems to be suffering from their inner demons. He was actually pretty well-liked by the different loners and orphans of Sharlayan, as he always took what little time he had to check in with them or listen to them talk about their day. Unlike his sister who radiates warmth like a hearth that can heat an entire home, Adhara’s kindness is best described as the distant but steady warmth offered by the full moon on dark and lonely nights. Because he is intimately familiar with the pain of people looking the other way when injustices occur, he continues to advocate for anyone who needs it because he hates that such cruelty has a foothold in this world. He is willing to accept the cruelty others show him because he believes that is his personal lot in life, but would never stand to see anyone else receive similar treatment. He lacks confidence in what good he contributes to the world, but it’s his willingness to help that most define him by.
